CLI

The contigra CLI covers the whole local workflow.

Core commands

Command What it does
contigra init Create a contigra.toml for a new project.
contigra plan Preview the execution graph without running anything.
contigra run Execute the pipeline.
contigra system doctor Check your environment and pipeline file.
contigra system tutorial Interactive, hands-on tutorials.

Creating a pipeline

contigra init --template rust

Available templates: rust, nodejs, python, docker, kubernetes, and minimal. Without --template, init asks you interactively. Use --yes to accept defaults and --output to choose the file name.

Previewing and running

contigra plan # show what would run
contigra run # run contigra.toml
contigra run --file custom.toml # run a specific file
contigra run --concurrency 8 # cap concurrent tasks
contigra run --dry-run # plan only
contigra run --plan-first # show the plan, then ask for confirmation
contigra run --no-confirm # never prompt (for CI)

By default, concurrency is the number of CPU cores × 2.

Diagnosing problems

contigra system doctor # full health check
contigra system doctor --quick # skip expensive checks
contigra system doctor --fix # fix common issues automatically
contigra system doctor --pipeline contigra.toml # validate a pipeline file

Tutorials

contigra system tutorial --list # list tutorials
contigra system tutorial basics # start with the fundamentals
